This is a 3 inch by 190 foot BPA-free thermal roll, sold as a 50-roll case for $56. It is the longest of the three 3 inch rolls we list. Use it only if the printer spec, or the old core, says 3 inch. It is not a stand-in for a 3 1/8 inch register roll.
A 3 inch roll in a 3 1/8 inch printer will wander. The door may close and the print will still walk off the edge. If the core says 3 1/8 or 80 mm, leave this page and open the 3 1/8 inch rolls. If it says 3 inch or 76 mm, you are in the right place. The other lengths in this width are the 3 x 165 case and the 3 x 150 case. All three sit on the 3 inch thermal paper page.
Spec line to confirm before publish
Width 3 inch (76 mm). Length 190 feet. Pack 50 rolls per case. Price $56. SKU PRD759611. Paper type BPA-free thermal, no bisphenol A in the coating. The page also shows a 7/16 inch core, about 60 mm outside diameter, 48 GSM, an end-of-roll stripe, and a 2 × 25 tray-pack note. Those figures are copied under a 165 foot heading. Confirm core, diameter, GSM, stripe, and pack with the warehouse, then delete the 165 foot line. Do not leave both lengths on the page.
Who this case is for
3 inch thermal shows up in smaller POS stations, some kiosks, and a few mobile or counter printers that were never built for the 80 mm register roll. It is a narrower cut than the standard American register width. Restaurants and retail counters that run a full-size Epson-style receipt printer almost always need 3 1/8, not this.
Buy the 190 foot length if the bay will close on it. Longer paper means fewer changes on a busy shift. It also means a larger roll. If the door hits the roll, drop to 165 or 150 feet. Do not force the long roll.
The case is the wholesale unit. Fifty rolls at $56 is about $1.12 a roll before any quantity break. The category page has shown this case as low as $41.44 at the deepest break. Free shipping starts at $100, so two cases clear it. One case does not.
BPA-free, and nothing past that
The coating on this roll is BPA-free. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences describes bisphenol A as a high-volume chemical used in plastics and resins, which is why receipt buyers ask. BPA-free is not phenol-free and not BPS-free. We do not claim either on this SKU.
California’s Proposition 65 FAQ is the official note on that warning law. Washington’s move off bisphenol receipt paper is in this state note on thermal receipts. If a bid asks for a no-phenols file, email before you order. We will not invent one.
How it prints
This is direct thermal. No ribbon. Heat from the print head makes the image. A bond roll of the same 3 × 190 size, the kind impact printers use, will not print in a thermal head, and this thermal roll will not work in an impact printer that wants bond. Match the printer type, not just the numbers on the box.
Lint-free paper and an end-of-roll stripe are worth having on a case this size. The stripe is the warning before the roll runs out mid-ticket. Keep the case cool and dry. Heat, sun, and a shelf over a grill will gray the edge before the roll is loaded.
Order and return
Add the case to the cart, or call 877-720-6510, 9:00am to 5:00pm CST, if you are buying for more than one site. Email info@posqualitypaper.com with the width, length, and cases per month for a standing order. The contact page has the second inbox, contact@posqualitypaper.com.
If the case is the wrong width, or it arrives damaged, send it back. The refund is issued within 10 business days after we receive the return. Have the order number. Company background is on the about page: Alabama since 2018, thermal rolls only.
Before you check out
Read the core. Confirm it says 3 inch, not 3 1/8. Confirm the printer is thermal. Confirm the bay will take a 190 foot roll. Then order the 50-roll case, SKU PRD759611. If any of those three checks fail, stop and call. A return costs more than a five-minute question.
